Development of Photocatalysts for Pollutant Degradation and Hydrogen Generation

Position: Senior Research Associate

The research group of Professor Irene M. C. Lo at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, would like to invite applications for a Senior Research Associate position in the research area of photocatalytic process for pollutant degradation and/or hydrogen generation. The candidate should have PhD degree in environmental/chemical engineering/electrochemistry/physics and at least 3 years post-doctoral experience with  strong research publications in (1) photocatalytic process and electrochemistry for environmental application, and (2) hydrogen storage and fuel cell development. The ideal candidate is also expected to have proficient communication skills in both written and spoken English. Appointment will be made initially on a contract with 18 months, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Salary is 26,500 HKD/month or higher which will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical benefits and Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) will be provided.
