The Cheng group at Norther Illinois University have ~ two PhD positions with full scholarship available in the field of batteries materials and electrocatalysis materials. We are looking for candidates with interests that align well with our research focuses and aim to develop a career in chemistry. Previous experiences in general electrochemistry, inorganic, polymeric or biomolecular materials, colloidal and interfacial chemistry preferred but not required.

Students with either a B.S. or M.S. in a related science or engineering discipline are welcome.

The graduate school at NIU requires an 80 (TOEFL) or 6.5 (IELTS) for English tests, and a test score in GRE.
